Dallas police were involved in a standoff with a suicidal person holed up in northeast Dallas. The incident began about 5 a.m. at a home in the 9000 block of Flicker Lane, not far from Highland Meadows Elementary School. Man Arrested After Machete Threats in Park

A retired Houston firefighter and his wife who were found dead early Saturday in an apparent murder-suicide in their southeast Houston home were identified by Houston police as Eugene and Sheila Scott.
