Officer Scott Fundling began working for the Dallas County Sheriff's Department as a civilian jailer in 1988. In 1989, Scott graduated from the Dallas County Sheriff's Academy and worked there until 1992 when he was hired by the Rowlett Police Department. Scott is a Field Training Officer, has an Advanced Accident Investigator Certification, and is an Intoxilyzer Operator. He also holds his Master Peace Officer's License. Scott is also trained in CISM/Peer counseling and has a Mental Health officer certification. In 2004, Scott completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University with his sights set on earning his masters degree.
In 1997, Scott attended a T.A.H.N/FBI basic negotiator school and has been a member of T.A.H.N since then. In 2000, he was named Team Leader for the Rowlett P.D. Crisis Negotiation Team.
In his off time, Scott likes to try to play golf and helps coach his son's baseball team.
