Officer Maranda Jordan began her law enforcement career in 1997, with the Westworth Village Police Department. While with Westworth Village, she promoted through the ranks from dispatcher to Patrol Senior Corporal.
In 2004, Maranda was hired by the Saginaw Police Department, where she has served as a Patrol Officer, Community Services Officer, Public Information Officer and Evidence/Property Custodian. She is currently assigned as a School Resource Officer at the Saginaw High School. She holds an Advanced Peace Officers Certificate and is a certified Mental Health Officer. Maranda is currently working towards obtaining her Bachelors in Business Administration.
Maranda became a member of TAHN in 2005 after completing a TAHN/FBI Basic Hostage Negotiation/Crisis Intervention course. Since then, her interest and training in crisis negotiation has continued to grow. She holds the position of Team Leader for the Saginaw Police Department Crisis Negotiation Team. She has served as a board member on the Inter-Agency Safety Child Seat Task Force and the Texas Chisholm Trail Crime Prevention Association.
