Thank you for visiting the Texas Association of Hostage Negotiator web site! TAHN is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality training to hostage negotiators and first responders.

TAHN members enjoy many benefits. They have opportunities to network with other negotiators not just from Texas, but from around the world as well.  There is no better place to network than the annual training conference. Along with the FBI, TAHN co-sponsor an annual conference every November. This conference has grown every year and is attended by negotiators from around the United States and several other countries. Members are notified as the conference is being planned so that they can make early reservations to attend. More information about the training conference can be found on this web site.

Another benefit of membership in TAHN is regional training. Texas is divided into six regions, each represented by a TAHN Region Vice President. It is that Regional Vice Presidents responsibility to coordinated quarterly training for members to attend. By attending the yearly conference and some of the regional training, Texas police negotiators can easily obtain 40 hours of TCLEOSE credits each year. This regional training is free to members?

Membership is $40.00 a year and expires on the last day of December of that year. If you join in March or June, your membership still expires in December. A membership application can be found in this web site as well. TAHN offers superb training and interaction with other crisis and hostage negotiators.
